Most couples argue about things like money, chores, sex, or parenting.

But those arguments are usually not just about the surface issue.

They’re really about something deeper.

I use a model called Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), which is an research-backed approach designed to strengthen the emotional bond between partners.

In therapy, we focus on changing the patterns of interaction that contribute to relationship problems, and helping couples understand and respond to each other’s emotional needs.

I act as a facilitator, translating the deeper messages that might be getting lost in your fights. I like to call EFT the "deep tissue massage” of couples therapy. It’s challenging, but because we go to the source of the pain — the heart of the matter — improvement is lasting and ripples outward.

By deepening the connection between you and your partner, we create stronger, a more secure relationship that can better handle life’s inevitable curve balls.

“Being the best you can be is really only possible when you are deeply connected to another.

Splendid isolation is for planets, not people.”

couples of any and all genders and sexualities are welcomed.

While I celebrate the many different structures romantic relationships can take, I am only trained in dyadic couples therapy. I welcome members of polyamorous relationships to individual counselling, but I am unable to see polycules at this time.
